  • Shogun Martial Arts Centre offers term-based and yearly memberships, providing flexibility to suit family schedules and individual training goals.

    Memberships are payable via:

    • Visa

    • Mastercard

    • EFTPOS

    • Cash (on site)

    For current membership options and pricing, please contact our team. We’re happy to recommend the most suitable membership based on age, experience, and training frequency.

    • Most classes run for 45–60 minutes, depending on age group and level.

    • Advanced and specialised classes may extend up to 75 minutes.

    • Please refer to the timetable for exact days, times, and class allocations.

    Classes operate during Victorian school terms, with limited sessions during holiday periods. Any changes are communicated in advance.

  • All new students are welcome.

    We offer a FREE, no-obligation trial class so you or your child can experience Shogun before committing.

    For your trial:

    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing

    • Bring a water bottle

    • A small towel is optional

    Simply contact us to book your trial session.

  • All training apparel and equipment are available for purchase on site, including:

    • Official Shogun uniforms (Gi)

    • Belts

    • Protective gear (hands and feet)

    • Shogun merchandise

    Uniforms, belts, and protective gear are compulsory once enrolled.

    For specialised training:

    • Kobudo weapons and Samurai swords are provided during class.

  • Children can begin training from 4 years of age, with classes grouped by age and development stage to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment.

  • Parents are welcome to stay and observe. Many families choose to remain onsite, particularly for younger children, while others enjoy nearby cafés and shops during class time.

  • Yes. Safety is a core priority at Shogun. All classes are:

    • Age-appropriate

    • Closely supervised

    • Structured to build confidence and coordination before intensity

    We emphasise control, respect, and correct technique at every stage.

  • Yes. Beginners are welcome throughout the term, subject to class availability. Our instructors ensure new students are supported and integrated smoothly into their class.

  • Yes. Private lessons are available by appointment for:

    • One-on-one instruction

    • Competition preparation

    • Advanced skill refinement

    • Personalised coaching goals
